In this workshop with Nadine, Paula and Nick, traditional handicrafts meet modern technology. After a brief introduction to the history of the candle arch, participants will create their own design. With the help of graphics programmes such as Canva or Inkscape, motifs are created which are then cut out of wooden panels using a laser cutter. The second part of the workshop is all about light. The basics of electronics are taught so that the participants can make the candle arch shine with soldering irons, LEDs and a little patience. When the self-made candle arches light up the parlour, it warms the heart.
