The art and sculpture trail PURPLE PATH creates a connection between the citizens of Chemnitz and 38 towns and municipalities in the region. From Mittweida to Schwarzenberg, from Glauchau to Seiffen, from Freiberg to Schneeberg, a sustainably designed sculpture museum is being created in public spaces. Experience an extraordinary day trip to the Ore Mountains that combines contemporary art on the PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail with the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
 

Stations:

• Start in Chemnitz - bus station (artwork "Oben mit")
• Zschopau, tour of the Purple Path artwork "Fließgleichgewicht" (equilibrium)
• Marienberg/Lauta - guided tour of the Pferdegöpel visitor mine at Rudolphschacht
• Stopover in the Renaissance town of Marienberg, one hour for a tour and individual lunch
• Drive to Olbernhau, guided tour of the Saigerhütte/copper hammer mill
• Individual coffee at the Hotel Saigerhütte
• Return journey from Olbernhau to Chemnitz past the Plywood artwork, Lengefeld lime works (associated World Heritage Site) and Flöha with the "Glance" artwork
