Augustusburg Music Summer: The Queen's last performance

Big events cast big shadows ahead. The main organ will sound for the last time - and will only reappear once it has become part of the six-part organ installation.

The creation of the 360° world of sound in the Augustusburg town church is arousing interest throughout Europe. However, in order for the main organ to become part of the six-part organ installation, extensive work will be required from August - every single pipe will have to leave its place! The instrument from 1896 will therefore be played for the last time in the concerts on 26 July before it is restored in line with its listed status and given spectacular new timbres.
