This extraordinary gala programme focuses on the Munich composer Richard Strauss, who had a special connection to Saxony. It includes two of his early works as well as a late work and offers a fascinating overview of the development of his oeuvre - from the first, experimental steps to his late, masterful perfection. The evening's star guest, award-winning soprano Michaela Kaune, will ennoble the musical highlights of this programme with her voice and provide the audience with unforgettable moments.

Half an hour before the concerts begin, there will be the opportunity to attend a concert introduction: in the Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theatre on the Studio Stage and in the Kulturhaus Aue in the Small Hall.
