30. International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences SCHLiNGEL

From 27 September to 4 October 2025, the SCHLiNGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences will be back for the 30th time. For the anniversary edition, children, young people and film fans of all ages can once again look forward to a diverse film programme with productions from all corners of the world and take a look at other countries, cultures and everyday realities directly from their cinema seats. In addition, the films are always accompanied by experienced presenters and, in many cases, by the people behind the productions - actors, directors and producers. This gives viewers the opportunity to ask all their questions live in the cinema and talk to the national and international filmmakers - or even get an autograph.

While the mornings on weekdays are reserved for school classes, all interested cinema fans can immerse themselves in the world of film in the afternoons, evenings and at weekends. Various venues - the CineStar in the Galerie Roter Turm, the Clubkino Siegmar, the Metropol Chemnitz, the Weltecho and the Opernhaus Chemnitz as well as the Carlowitz Congresscenter Chemnitz - will open their doors again in the week before the Saxon autumn holidays and show the special programme on the big screen. In addition, the SCHLiNGEL Film Festival offers an exciting supporting programme, such as the SCHLiNGEL Industry Forum for trade visitors.
