A flurry of flashbulbs at Chemnitz Opera House: the European Cultural Awards were presented at a glamorous gala in Chemnitz on Europe Day. The prize honours artists and personalities who are particularly committed to cultural exchange in Europe and the promotion of young talent. By organising this event, the European Cultural Forum aims to strengthen the friendship between European countries, promote art in Europe, shape a modern concept of culture and bring together a wide variety of genres. The guests were treated to a top-class musical programme ranging from pop to classical music.
