Every year on the first weekend in April, artisans in 21 European countries open their workshops and studios to visitors of all ages for the European Days of Arts and Crafts (ETAK). There was also plenty to marvel at in Saxony and, of course, in the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025. Artistic trends and regional specialities were waiting to be discovered, creative people had a look over their shoulders at work and artisans engaged in conversation at workshops. Whether at the Muldenhauer's, fine bag maker's or goldsmith's - there was something to discover everywhere! Especially in 2025: an all-encompassing European kick-off event in Chemnitz, not only as a meeting point for various trades from the regions, but also as the ceremonial start to the EUROPEAN DAYS OF CRAFTSMANSHIP, invited visitors on a European voyage of discovery in the Capital of Culture region.
