The PURPLE PATH art and sculpture trail will showcase works by renowned international, national and Saxon artists. The sculptures and installations are located in the 38 cities and municipalities of the Capital of Culture Region and in Chemnitz, creating a decentralised exhibition in public spaces that tells the stories of people, crafts and industry and invites visitors to discover these stories.
Guided bus tours will be offered at the PURPLE PATH as part of the Museum Night on 10 May. One route leads via Jahnsdorf, Amtsberg and Zschopau, the other via Flöha, Braunsdorf and Lichtenwalde. The tours start at 10 a.m. at the Stadthalle bus stop. Participants need a Museum Night ticket to join the tour. Reservations can already be made on the Chemnitz Museum Night booking website:
