They still exist, the adventurers of the railway line! One of them is Jaroslav Rudiš, who comes from a Czech family of railwaymen and prefers to travel to his performances as an author and musician by train. What's more, he has made this decelerated and now very contemporary form of transport the subject of his texts. In his books Gebrauchsanweisung fürs Zugreisen and Zug um Zug durch Europa, he not only presents the best dining carriages, recommends the most beautiful night trains or reveals which station pub is a good place to while away the waiting time. The trained historian is also interested in what routes, trains and stops tell us about our shared history and present. And on his travels, he learns time and again how the international rail network holds Europe together. Composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Hans Narva proves that there is a lot of music in the beat of the points and perhaps even a little anarchy. Harmoniously embedded in the ambience of the railway museum, his performance enters into a crazy dialogue with the texts by Jaroslav Rudiš. Who wouldn't want to get on board?
