Gabriela Oberkofler (*1975, Bolzano / Italy) visualises the sensitive connections between ecosystems and social structures as well as the transformation of natural and cultural sites by planting indoor and outdoor spaces. In her "laboratory of a meadow orchard" (Labor einer Streuobstwiese), historical apple varieties and forgotten crops grow in raised beds from the artist's seed archive. Her work conveys confidence in the possibility of reconciling people and nature as well as the past and the future.

Hoda Tawakol (*1962, Tehran / Iran) deals with identity, femininity and cultural tradition in her works. Her works, often made of textiles, deconstruct and expand the representation of the feminine by combining protection, resistance and longing. With her sculpture "Delicious Monster", the artist explores the textile industry in Limbach-Oberfrohna.

The inauguration of the work will be accompanied by the following programme:
10:00-12:00 Planting campaign "Laboratory of a meadow orchard" by artist Gabriela Oberkofler with the support of the flagship project "Gelebte Nachbarschaft" and the Goethe-Grundschule Limbach-Oberfrohna (internal event)
13:00-14:00 Music and culinary delights on the theme of apples
