Homemade is always the best! That's why Chemnitz 2025 is turning the Advent season into a hands-on time. At the Maker Advent, workshops, associations, artists and creative people in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region invite you to work together, turn, make lace, print, bake, make hats and sing.

After all, the region has always been characterised by the spirit of do-it-yourself. The Maker Advent creates places of encounter and brings people together. It is an invitation to everyone to discover new places and activities and to get creative together with other people.

At the Maker Advent, workshops, associations, artists and creative people in Chemnitz and the Capital of Culture region invite you to work, turn, make lace, print, bake, make hats and sing together.The Maker Advent is part of the Makers, Business & Arts programme. This main project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is all about promoting creative tourism offerings and cross-sector collaboration between industry and creative professionals. The project is being implemented by the Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH in cooperation with the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e. V.
