In the discussion "New self-confidence", representatives of the city, the Capital of Culture Office and Sparda-Bank Berlin will discuss identity, change and why East Germany remains its own identity space even 35 years after reunification - and how it can be made visible with new ideas. Because the East is more than geography - it is biography. Politics, culture and everyday life still characterise people's self-perception of the region today.

Also taking part: Sybille Sonntag (Head of Sponsoring and Sales Marketing Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH), Stefan Schmidtke (Managing Director of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH), Tino Lang (Managing Director of the communications agency zebra | group from Chemnitz) and Marcel Schwarzkopf (Head of Marketing, Sparda-Bank Berlin).

The monthly theme talks are part of the exhibition "A look back that leads to the future". Sparda-Bank Berlin has already shown this as part of the Capital of Culture programme at the #3000Garagenfestival and is now extending it at the location.
