On 27 November, we will be celebrating the grand finale of the three Capital of Culture projects for older people - Fokus2025, Dancing Neighbours and Plattenpicknick - at the Garagen-Campus, which will also mark the end of the Capital of Culture year.
The doors will open at 16:30 and the film screening of Dancing Queens will begin at 17:00 as part of the European Film Festival of Generations. This will be followed by a short discussion round where visitors will have the opportunity to talk about the film and its themes. Afterwards, the Dancing Neighbours will invite visitors to join in with an open participation programme that will lead to a lively celebration.
In the spirit of the record picnic, you can then dance, party and bring anything that puts you in a good mood - including your own records! Let's bring the year to a close together, share memories and dance the night away.
Catering will be provided: there will be cinema snacks, a warming soup and drinks for a small contribution.
Come along, bring your favourite records and celebrate the end of an eventful Capital of Culture year with us - together, dancing and full of joie de vivre!
