Ceremonial cutting of the giant stollen at the Annaberg Christmas market
Traditionally, on the Sunday of the first Advent, the ten-kilogram giant stollen from the Annaberger Backwaren bakery is cut on the market stage by Lord Mayor Rolf Schmidt and this year's Stollen Girl Martha Zimmermann.
