If you want to explore the city off the beaten track, you can take part in 39xChemnitz: A self-exploration tour through one of Chemnitz's 39 neighbourhoods.
With a travel journal under their arm, travellers are equipped with questions and food for thought: Everyday things are seen from new perspectives, exploration is left a little to chance and the urban space is explored on the traveller's own initiative.
The collected impressions are used to create alternative travel guides for Chemnitz's neighbourhoods - subjective, personal and authentic.

Simply send an email to info@stadtkarte-chemnetz.de and the team will personally deliver the exploration kit with questions and tasks. First come, first served - it pays to be quick!
Important note: In order for the exploration to be included in the travel journal, the district must be explored and sent back to the team by 22 September 2025 .
